I started this blog on release date of Google chrome. Today, Google released pre beta version 2 of Chrome. I think this is time to make a change on this blog too. That is what you are seeing now. A brand new theme.

A small overview on Chrome 2

  • No change in interface
  • Form auto complete
  • Full-page zoom

  • Multiple Profiles

But the meanwhile, I found a bug :) . I think they forgot to cut off the edges of the browser window properly. And tabs are not getting selected in single click some times.

How to get the new version?

  1. Download and install it from google.com/chrome
  2. Subscribe to the developer preview channel. This is required even if you’ve previously subscribed to the channel.
  3. Wait until the new version is downloaded (you may force the update by opening the “About Google Chrome” dialog).

If you don’t like the new version, you can downgrade by reinstalling Chrome.

 

About new theme

This is my first post in 2009, I believe I am too late to update this blog after my new year’s resolutions post. Lack of time gave me idea of working only in CSS and not to play with HTML. Yes, the HTML of the old theme is same. The beauty of this theme is only in Firefox. Google chrome and other webkit based browsers will show partial look and other browsers are out of my mind. I am not satisfied with this new look, I will be making few changes soon. Suggestions are always welcomed.

Oh by the way, did I mention today is the release date of Windows 7 ? Only first 2.5 million users can download it free. Did you remember that Firefox 3 day ?

Update : Google Chrome 2 does not support chat in Orkut. It says chat is not yet supported by your browser.
