Paste image from clipboard to Gmail body

Update 14 June 2011 : Today, GMail added feature to copy paste images from clip board to GMail Body. This was my suggestion I made three years ago!. And the reason why Google is trying to hire me is that I have nice ideas like this 🙂 . If I were at Google plex, you could have used this feature at-least two years ago!. Now the back part is, this feature is available only in Google’s kid Chrome at present. But expected to extend soon to other browsers as well.

Update 16 April 2010 : Today, GMail added feature to attach files by drag and drop from Desktop or any folder. This is almost to my suggest below. But it took one year for Google to look in to this. Now guess this is almost near to paste images from Clip board.

You might have seen that I’ve started feature suggest in this blog last week and posted an overview on it. Here I’m just gonna make a feature request to Google.

It is about Gmail. As I am using Pidgin for IM, where I can get in touch with my friends in Gtalk, Yahoo and official contacts on MSN using a simple software. But the file transfer speed is too slow using this messenger. Better way is to send file via Gmail. But when I need to send screen shoot of my desktop, it is too hard to open Photoshop each time and save the file to desktop, then attach. huh its too boring and time killing too. But in Outlook, you can just paste in the email body and its done. I want the same feature in Gmail 🙂 Lol in the browser itself. Not in any email clients.

Requirement

Paste images from clipboard to Gmail body in browser.

Possibility

Google Gears and Chrome are already there to rock. As offline Gmail is possible, this feature also is easy to implement. Multiple file attachment also might have something to do with this.

    Here is a better solution
    http://blog.wedran.com/2010/05/how-to-paste-screenshots-using-gmail.html

How to paste screenshots using Gmail and how to use Gmail as the default email client.

Recently Google resolved two major issues with Gmail. It is now possible to take a screenshot and paste it directly into an email message. It is also possible to use Gmail as standard email client that pops up when a user clicks on an email link on a webpage. Follow these steps:
